Ice Illumination Plaza in Hwacheon

Ice Illumination Plaza in Hwacheon

On the other side of Hwacheon was the Ice Illumination Plaza. It was a spectacular sight to see. The giant ice sculptures were lit from within, using different colored lights. It was such a cool experience, err, “cold” experience is more like it haha. You walk right into a gigantic freezer, so make sure to bundle up!

I think the entrance fee was somewhere around 5,000 won, but our trip with WINK included free admission into the Plaza. Hooray for free activities! 🙂

It was located on the first/ground floor of the same building as the Sancheoneo Theater, across the parking lot from the Coffee Museum.
